Maruki Bakery

Maruki Bakery is a neighborhood bakery on the way to Kyoto Shijo-Omiya Station, selling shrimp katsu, tonkatsu, and sarada pan. The shrimp katsu sandwich comes with a slice of lemon and is made to order for takeout. Around 8 a.m. the line was already long, with many locals buying, and on weekend mornings at 9 there is a wait but it moves quickly. Cards are not accepted, and only cash is taken.
