Jangeo Chon

Jangeo Chon is an old eel restaurant tucked inside an alley in Seomyeon, Busan, serving freshwater and sea eel grilled with salt or marinated in sauce. The eels are killed and grilled immediately after being taken live from the tank, and customers choose between the salt-grilled and sauce-grilled versions. Staff grill the eel at the table and show how to eat it with sauce and wrap vegetables. The entrance is hidden deep in the alley, so it is easy to walk past.
