Garyewon

Garyewon is a rice cake shop in Sinchon, Seoul, selling chapsalttteok, songpyeon, yaksik, and kongtteok. Its signature chapsalttteok uses a high proportion of glutinous rice and domestic haepap mixed with apple to reduce the beans' raw smell. The chapsalttteok was featured on Master of Life, and the rice cakes carry the old-fashioned taste of childhood. The sweets are not heavily sweetened, and many of the rice cakes are moist.
