Menya Suzuran is a ramen shop in Sapporo, a three-minute walk from Susukino Station, open from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Its signature dishes are W soup miso ramen and curry ramen, built on a broth of pork bones, chicken bones and katsuobushi combined with 15 to 16 Japanese-style soup bases and simmered for two days. The shop has nine counter seats and is run by one owner, so a wait can get long. It fills with locals even at 1 a.m., and turnover is slow, so allow extra time.
