Houryu Ramen Flagship Store

Hou Ryu Ramen is an old ramen shop near Susukino in Sapporo that serves miso ramen and spicy miso ramen. The signature ramen comes with mushrooms, bamboo shoots, green onion, and a boiled egg stamped with the characters for Hou Ryu, and the gyoza are offered as regular or spicy pan-fried dumplings. Opened in 1957, the shop has an open kitchen with six single seats and three four-person seats, and in the evening the wait runs from 40 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes. The seasoning is on the salty side.
