Mount Daimonji is a hiking course in Kyoto. From the summit, walking about 400 meters northwest opens up a wide view of the city, and the mountain can also be climbed via the northern trail on the Ginkaku-ji side. The route connecting Nanzen-ji to the summit and Ginkaku-ji is about 5 km and takes around two and a half hours, and the maintained sections can be walked in sneakers. The descent in the opposite direction is rough like a jungle and has many spiders and insects.
