The Paris office of the Korean Provisional Government was located at 38 Rue de Châteaudun in the 9th arrondissement. The provisional government, established in Shanghai after the March 1st Movement of 1919, set up a diplomatic mission in Paris to make its case for independence to the international community, and Kim Kyu-sik appealed for independence at the Paris Peace Conference. The building is an apartment, and its door is kept closed, so it can only be viewed from the outside. It is not a place where visitors tour the interior as they would at an ordinary tourist site.
