Shinmachi Kita Park is an urban park in Shinmachi, directly reachable from the north exit of Yotsubashi Station in front of Orix Theater. It has many cherry trees, and in spring it is used for viewing cherry blossoms and eating lunch. Commuters stop by even before 8 a.m., and in the center of the park stands a monument to the poet Momota Soji's "Garden of Nothing." Trash bins are installed, and the site's history remains as the location of the Osaka Shinmachi pleasure quarters in the Edo period.
