Gunbae is a Korean restaurant in the Lower West Side of New York that grills samgyeopsal, wagyu, and galbi and serves bibimbap and sundubu. Staff cut and grill the meat and refill the banchan in the Korean style. On Friday evenings and on weeknights, guests can wait without a reservation, and there is a private karaoke room in the back. The haemul pajeon is small, with a burnt exterior and a soft interior.
