Angelo's Coal Oven Pizzeria is an Italian restaurant across from Carnegie Hall, within walking distance of Central Park. It serves coal oven pizza and pasta, and you can add toppings such as pepperoni, arugula, or ham one at a time to a tomato-based pizza, or order penne alla vodka pasta. The coal oven leaves char on the bottom of the pizza, and the dough is crisp outside and soft inside. The dining room is loud, so eating quietly is difficult.
