The Tippler

The Tippler is a bar in the basement of Chelsea Market in New York that serves cocktails, small plates, beer and cider. Its habanero whiskey cocktail Charming Snake and its Japanese whiskey Old Fashioned are served with a samurai sword. Guests walk down the stairs at the entrance and follow the arrows to a large bar space with seating, arched ceilings, exposed brick and Persian rugs. The music is loud, which makes conversation difficult.
