The Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch in Brooklyn is a large memorial arch honoring the Civil War, located at Grand Army Plaza where Flatbush Avenue and Union Street meet. It stands facing the entrance of Prospect Park, so it is seen head-on when leaving the park. The arch sits between a wide plaza and the park, and can be viewed together with the surrounding scenery. Traffic is heavy, so the area around it is somewhat noisy.
