Daegaksa is a Buddhist temple in Gwangbok-dong, near the Nampo-dong shopping district and the Busan Modern History Museum. Visitors can press their palms together before a reclining Buddha statue, and a Japanese-style bell and the pillar couplets of the main hall remain. The temple was built in the late 1800s as a Busan branch of Higashi Honganji and is known as a filming location for the movie Dalma-ya Seoul Gaja. At night it looks like a separate space even though it is close to Nampo-dong.
