Jukbangnyeom

Jukbangryeom is a primitive fishing structure built in the sea in the Jijok Strait of Namhae County, below Changseon Bridge. Bamboo and oak are woven into a V shape to catch fish using the fast current. Jukbangryeom is a trap-style fishing ground set in shallow water, remaining in the sea route of the Jijok Strait. As the shipbuilding industry developed, this primitive fishing method declined.
