Torisho Sai

Torisho Sai is a yakitori restaurant near Nijo Castle in Kyoto that serves an omakase course of Hinai jidori chicken. The course runs from charcoal-grilled chicken skewers to soft-boiled quail eggs, wasabi-grilled chicken breast, chicken noodles, and rice cooked in a pot. Meals are served over two hours starting at 16:00 or 18:30 in a renovated old machiya, with the open kitchen visible from the seats. Reservations are required, so walk-ins are not possible.
