Il filo is a family-run restaurant in Kyoto that serves Italian food. The chef rolls and cuts handmade pasta in front of diners, and prepares carbonara, bolognese, and desserts on the spot. Seasonal ingredients, especially Japanese ones, are presented in Italian-style courses, and dishes are divided in advance for parties of two. The restaurant accepts guests who arrive late in the evening without a reservation.
