Honke Owariya Main Branch

Honke Owariya Honten is a soba restaurant in Kyoto that has been open for more than 500 years and serves soba and soba dumplings. Its signature dish, herring soba, comes with herring that has little fishy smell, a savory broth, and soft noodles. On weekend lunchtimes the wait to enter exceeds one hour, and each person must order one set. The physical location is on an extended closure and is not currently operating.
