Kyoto International Manga Museum

Kyoto International Manga Museum is a manga museum in Kyoto housed in a converted former school building. Visitors can freely read Japanese-language manga, ranging from 1960s comics to new releases and rare editions. Puppet shows are held at 11:30 and 2 p.m., exhibitions take place on the second floor, and books can also be read on the outdoor artificial grass yard. Reading the manga is difficult for those who do not know Japanese.
