Night Bazaar Chiang Mai

The Chiang Mai Night Bazaar is a permanent night market east of Chiang Mai Old Town, next to the Marriott Hotel, selling street food, souvenirs, and handicrafts. Shoppers can look through Muay Thai shorts, handmade boxes, paintings, clothes, and accessories, drink beer, eat simple night market food, and bargain over prices. It opens on weekday evenings as well, usually from 5 or 6 p.m. until late, and sometimes hosts traditional instrument performances, dance, and busking. Many shops carry similar goods, so it is a poor place to find a unique souvenir.
