Chiang Mai Night Market has locations at both the front and back gates of Chiang Mai University, selling second-hand clothing, accessories and local Thai food. The front gate area is divided into stalls and a market, while the back gate area is a restaurant street with foods such as pad thai and mango juice. It is open from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and a food court also operates after 4 p.m., where takeout food is eaten at shared tables. It is a fair distance on foot from Nimman.
