Minato Gurip Shibakoen is a park in Tokyo’s Minato-gu. Its main feature is a large ginkgo tree said to have been planted by Tokugawa Iemitsu. The tree stands 21 metres tall, has a trunk circumference of 8.3 metres, and is estimated to be about 380 years old. It survived US bombing during World War II and is designated a natural monument by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
