Koran-ji is a Jodo-shu temple in Mita, Tokyo, facing Arisugawa and about 500 meters from Shirokane-takanawa Station. Its main image is a hidden Arya Avalokitesvara holding a fish basket in the right hand, and the temple is the 25th site of the Edo 33 Kannon pilgrimage. The main image is normally not shown and is displayed only during the Segaki rite on the second Saturday of May, while the grounds hold a Salt Jizo, a Six Jizo, and a hand-pump well. Founded in Nakatsu in 1617, it was moved to Mita and the Kannon hall was built in 1652.
