Traditional Ongjin Buckwheat Noodle

Byeonggane Ongjin Naengmyeon is a Baengnyeongdo-style naengmyeon restaurant near Juan Sageori in Incheon. Its mul naengmyeon uses coarse noodles with a high buckwheat content, served in dongchimi broth with kanari aekjeot, and the menu also includes nokdu buchim and samgyeopsal suyuk. The restaurant has a 45-year history and is busy enough at lunch that customers wait on chairs, with warm noodle water served before ordering. The taste is mild like Pyongyang naengmyeon, which makes it divisive.
