Shokudo Meshiya is a small Japanese restaurant next to Ishite-ji in Matsuyama that serves hamburger steak set meals and fish set meals. The hamburger steak is handmade and juicy, and the fish is chosen from grilled or simmered, served with side dishes and miso soup. The owner cooks alone, opening at 11 a.m., and food takes about 5 to 30 minutes after ordering; orders can be placed in English. There are only 8 to 10 seats, so if reserved guests fill them, you must wait or leave.
