Sinsudong Gungmul Tteokbokki is a tteokbokki restaurant in an alley by the back gate of Sinseok Elementary School in Sinsu-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It serves one menu item, gungmul tteokbokki, which comes with egg and eomuk and has a mild taste that is neither sweet, salty, nor spicy. The restaurant has been in operation since 1981 and has no menu board; first-time customers are served without ordering, and scissors and a spoon are handed over first. There is no sign, and customers sit at the same table with people they do not know.
