Sandong Mandu is a small Chinese restaurant in a narrow alley behind Mapo Garden Hotel in Seoul, serving fried and steamed mandu along with dishes such as eggplant stir-fry, water spinach stir-fry, and sanratang. The fried mandu are crisp outside and moist inside, and the steamed mandu are filled with juice. It opens at 5:30 p.m. and takes reservations months in advance, while walk-in customers often wait one to two hours before being seated. There are around six tables, and parking is difficult.
