Mapo-ok Hanu Yangji Seolleongtang sits a five-minute walk from Exit 1 of Mapo Station in Seoul. The restaurant has served Hanu yangji-tang for over 70 years, mixing sagol broth with the stock from boiled meat to make a soup that falls between cloudy seolleongtang and clear gomtang. The myeongpum yangji-tang comes with thick slices of yangji on top. The rice is served already in the soup, so ttearo-gukbap must be requested in advance and the meat sauce ordered separately; the kimchi is on the salty side.
