Daejeon Haejangguk Jeonmun is a restaurant in Nogo-san-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul that has been open for over ten years. Despite the haejangguk sign, it serves dak kkochi, dakbal, kkeopdegi, and jokbal. The dak kkochi has a charred, fire-grilled flavor, and ordering two portions comes with a clear, spicy bean sprout soup on the house. Diners get their own utensils, plates, water, alcohol, and drinks, and because the shop does not sell rice, meals must be bought at the convenience store next door.
