Busan Galmaegi is an old charcoal grill restaurant in the galmaegi alley near Gongdeok Station in Mapo, Seoul. The galmaegi-sal is sliced thin, marinated, and cooked over charcoal, with egg mixture poured along the edge of the grill to set like gyeranjjim and eaten with pa-jeori, ripe kimchi, and garlic. It opened in 1978 and is now run by the owner's son. The dining room is large but the seats are packed close together, and the interior fills with heavy smoke.
