Nanbankan

Nanbankan is a Japanese yakitori restaurant in Sawtelle, Los Angeles, grilling meat, seafood, and vegetable skewers over charcoal. Skewers include chicken skin, beef tongue, sea bass, miso cod, and pork with okra, cooked to order on the charcoal grill. Reservations are made by phone, and seating is available at tables or at the bar facing the chef's grill. On weekends, walking in without a reservation can mean a 15 to 30 minute wait or being turned away.
