Biddy Mason Memorial Park sits between two buildings behind the Bradbury Building in Downtown Los Angeles. It is an urban park with water fountains and shaded seating instead of grass. Biddy Mason came to California as an enslaved person, gained her freedom, and later became a landowner and a midwife who delivered hundreds of children. The park is small, so there is not much room to stay for long.
