Skylon is a modern European restaurant near Waterloo station on London's South Bank, looking out over the Thames and its bridges. It serves truffle linguine, Sunday roast, sticky toffee pudding, and two- or three-course set menus. On Saturdays a live band plays among the tables during brunch, and one visit was recorded as lasting three hours. In the evening, ordering and the kitchen run slowly, so a single course can take an hour and twenty minutes.
