Sushi Sakai is a small sushi restaurant in Kyoto run by an elderly Japanese couple. It serves mackerel bo-sushi, kaisen-don, eel sushi, and mixed rice bowls, and the mackerel is chosen between sushi and bo-sushi. When there are no seats, customers wait in front of the shop and enter when a seat opens, and since prices are not fixed, payment is made in cash after the meal. The counter has about six chairs, so shoulders touch when seated.
