Midori is a Japanese restaurant in a residential area of Kyoto, about a 10-minute walk from the Toji area. It serves unadon and hitsumabushi, grilling the eel so the outside is crisp while the inside stays moist; hitsumabushi comes with finely chopped eel eaten in several ways. Reservations can be made through Google, and guidance on how to eat the eel is provided. At night the road to the residential area is dark.
