Mensho Takamatsu - Shijo

Mensho Takamatsu Shijo is a ramen and tsukemen shop near Karasuma Station in Kyoto. Its tsukemen uses buckwheat noodles served with a tsukejiru dipping broth made with seafood and chicken, and the noodle portion can be ordered anywhere from regular to super large. Pepper, sansho, and dried seaweed are set on the table, and warm broth is poured in at the end to finish the meal. Lines form at lunch and at night.
