Fleur de Farine is a bakery a three-minute walk east from Exit 5 of Karasuma Oike Station in Kyoto. It sells small baguette jam bread, mille-feuille-style pastries with chestnut and red bean, almond cake, and sandwiches in small batches of many kinds. The shop opened in 1989 and displays many types of bread in a small space for customers to choose themselves. By late afternoon, many items are sold out and few breads remain.
