Elephant Factory Coffee

Elephant Factory Coffee is a small coffee shop on the second floor of a narrow alley behind Kyoto's main downtown area. It serves hand-drip coffee with a bitterness typical of Japanese coffee and mini cheesecakes. Payment is made after the meal, cash only, and each person must order one menu item. Smoking is allowed indoors and there is no ventilation, so the smell of cigarettes can linger on your clothes.
