Kintan is an old neighborhood restaurant near the Gupoji intersection in Kumamoto City that serves Kumamoto ramen and katsudon. The tonkotsu ramen has a roasted garlic aroma, and the katsudon features a large cutlet with a thick batter soaked in a sweet broth. You can order the ramen with a half fried rice set, and the large katsudon portion is generous. There is no parking lot, so you must use a nearby coin parking lot.
