Kameido Katori Shrine in Kameido, Tokyo, is a shrine for praying for success in competition and sports. Lanterns line the path from the torii to the main hall, and armor is displayed on the grounds. The shrine was founded in 665, when Fujiwara no Kamatari docked his boat at Kame Island and prayed for safe travels. At the shrine, visitors sprinkle water on Ebisu and Daikoku of the Kameido Seven Lucky Gods, then rub a tawashi on the affected area.
