Sushi Nakamise is a small sushi shop in an alley near Umeda Station in Osaka, serving thick cuts of fish as sushi and hoe. At the counter, diners order tuna belly with pickled radish and seaweed rice, uni, eel, and barley shrimp directly, and eat the flesh of raw shrimp before the heads are grilled over charcoal. The shop has only 8 to 10 counter seats, and reservations are accepted by phone only. Opening is at 4 p.m.
