Marugame Seimen Umeda

Marugame Seimen Umeda is an udon and fried-food restaurant five minutes from Umeda Station. It runs self-service: you order bukkake udon or kitsune udon with chikuwa, squid, or lotus root tempura, and the noodles are boiled to order. You carry a tray, pick up your udon, choose the tempura, and pay at the end, seated at counter seats for solo diners. It is hard to tell when to place your order, and the seasoning runs on the salty side.
