Hakoniwa Nishitemma is a course-only restaurant in Nishitenma, Osaka, applying Japanese ingredients and cooking methods to Italian dishes. The meal moves through five appetizers, freshly baked focaccia, pasta, a fish dish, a meat dish, and dessert, built around seasonal vegetables, fish, and meat. A Japanese garden stands at the entrance, and the restaurant runs by reservation so each plate is explained as it is served. There are no private rooms, so diners eat in a single space with several tables.
