Myeondong Tteokbokki sits eight minutes from Exit 1 of Sagajeong Station in Seoul. The shop has sold jjajang tteokbokki, instant rabokki and jjolbokki in front of an elementary school since 1993. The jjajang tteokbokki uses wheat tteok in a spicy jjajang broth, with a choice of regular or mild, and the jjolbokki comes with yakimandu and egg added. There are not many tables, but takeout orders keep coming in and turnover is fast; payment is cash only and the seats are narrow, so lunchtime can feel cramped.
