Simwon is a meat restaurant near a Seoul train station that grills beef and pork over charcoal and serves doenjang jjigae. Its signature dish, teukmi doenjang jjigae, is boiled with ramyeon noodles and eaten by mixing rice with kongnamul muchim, eomuk, yeolmu kimchi, and eolgari muchim. The restaurant has operated since 1982, and at lunchtime office workers from the area gather as food comes out quickly. Sesame oil and gochujang are added at the table to taste.
