Jeongtong Hope

Jeongtong Hope is an old-style beer hall in Jeong-dong, Seoul, near the offices of Chosun Ilbo and other media companies, serving fried and soy sauce chicken with draft beer. The chicken is fried until crisp in the manner of old-fashioned whole chicken, and the food includes golbaengi somyeon and yangnyeom chicken. A large outdoor area allows guests to stay late, and in summer the outside seats are the better choice. The atmosphere is that of an old beer hall, so it does not suit anyone expecting a modern space.
