Bakgane Sogalbi Jjim

Bakgane Sogalbi Jjim is a Daegu-style jjim galbi restaurant serving braised beef short ribs near Dongseongno and Jungangno. The ribs are steamed until tender in a style with plenty of broth, and the seasoning is suited to mixing with rice. Because the braised ribs take time to cook, four side dishes and galbi-tang broth arrive first, and the side dishes are self-serve for refills. Even when the spicy option is chosen, the heat stays moderate, with a chili-based seasoning that is sharp rather than strong.
