Samcheongdong Hotteok

Samcheongdong Hotteok is a snack shop in a quiet alley of Samcheong-dong, Seoul, selling honey, bulgogi, and red bean hotteok. Instead of being pressed and griddled like typical hotteok, the thick dough is fried in oil, leaving the outside crisp, and the bulgogi hotteok comes out sweet and salty. Orders are fried to order, and even with a line the food tends to come out quickly. The honey hotteok has a thin filling and is oily enough to feel more like a fried donut than a hotteok.
