Gu Seonwonjeon is located north of the Gwolnaegaksa in Changdeokgung, Seoul. It was a hall where royal portraits of Joseon kings were enshrined and ancestral rites were held, first established in 1695 during the reign of Sukjong, after which portraits of successive kings were enshrined there. After a new Seonwonjeon was built inside the rear garden in 1921, the old building stood empty, and Jinseolcheong, Naechaldang, and Yangjidang were restored in 2005. On site there are guide maps and information signs in Korean and English.
