The National Meteorological Museum is a science museum on a hill in Songwol-dong, Jongno, housed in the former National Central Meteorological Observatory building. It displays an original cheugugi rain gauge from the early Joseon period, modern observation instruments, and weather and climate materials with explanatory text. The Gyeongseong Weather Station building, constructed in 1932, opened as the National Meteorological Museum in 2020, and the exhibitions remain on the first and second floors. The hill road in Songwol-dong is difficult to climb on foot.
