Nakseonjae is a heritage building inside Changdeokgung in Seoul, built as a study and resting place for King Heonjong. It follows the style of a sadaebu house without dancheong, so it looks like an ordinary yangban hanok even within the palace grounds. Wooden columns and a tiled roof are left exposed, and the site allows a quiet walk away from the city's bustle. After liberation, it was the residence of the last members of the royal family, including Prince Yeong and Yi Bangja.
